Under the direction of our new
Youth Pastor, “Pastor Jeff” the youth at First UMC are eagerly
anticipating the start of their new youth group experience this fall.
Following is some exciting information to ponder and also some really
cool things the youth have already done since Pastor Jeff came on board:

We will be starting our Youth Group
Meetings on SUNDAY, AUGUST 26th
-
Youth Group meetings will be Sunday
nights 6:00 – 7:30 P.M. (unless otherwise noted)

ALL youth sixth grade to twelfth grade
are welcome to join us

From July 22nd to July 24th
members of our Youth (8 in total along with Pastor Jeff and Pastor
David) attended the School of Mission’s Mission Discovery. The
youth built ramps, worked with Vacation Bible School and worked on
construction. It was a great time to learn about missions, build
relationships and lending a hand.

Our Youth attended Kingdom Bound
at Darien Lake on August 7th. The youth attended
concerts, hear speakers and enjoyed an amusement park.
Come and be a part of our group !!! It will be
a BLAST !!
DIG
[Dive Into God]
DIG (Dive Into God) is the youth
drama team here at First UMC. Founded in 1999 by Rebecca Airgood,
Michael Airgood and Mandy Woodford, it is presently in its 9th
year. DIG welcomes any student in grades 6 through 12,
regardless of church affiliation.
Our activities include, but are not limited
to, leading Youth Sunday services, performing skits at worship services
and special church functions, serving communion is foreign costumes on
World Communion Sunday, and sacred dance. We travel to area churches as
well.
The current group includes several seniors
who have been a part of DIG since they were in 6th
grade. It has been amazing to watch their skills and confidence
develop.
Debbie Airgood is the adult advisor for this
very talented group.
